We are celebrating 20 years in business!
From a one-man IT consultancy into a multi-disciplinary technology group employing more than 70 people and approaching £7 million in annual turnover, we are thrilled to reach this fantastic milestone.
Founded in February 2006 by Mark Adams, the business has evolved steadily over two decades, with much of its growth driven by long-term relationships, trusted partnerships, and consistent business referrals.
Originally operating alone under the name, A Net UK Limited, Mark Adams established the business after taking on IT maintenance contracts following the closure of a previous company. Later in 2006, his brother Rob Adams joined the venture, strengthening the company’s commercial focus.
A pivotal chapter in Fifteen Group’s development came through Business Networking International (BNI), where relationships formed through regular networking and collaboration would go on to shape the business for years to come.
In 2007, the business went through a merger with Fifteen Digital Marketing, forming Fifteen Digital Limited and creating a broader, more integrated service offering. This step marked a significant point in the company’s evolution and laid the foundations for sustained growth.
From its base at Parkhall Business Village, the business has grown consistently year on year. BNI continued to play a key role in that journey, generating long-term customer relationships and introductions that directly influenced the company’s expansion.
In 2014, Fifteen Digital moved into communications services after Rob Adams invited Ian Walker, then Sales Manager at Sitelink Communications, to join the business. Rob and Ian had built a strong working relationship through local networking groups, regularly cross-referring clients, and collaborating on projects before Ian joined Fifteen Group as a partner.
The company broadened its offering again in 2018 following a merger with Pegasus Fire & Security, owned by Martin Graham another long-standing business connection developed through BNI. This milestone prompted a full rebrand to Fifteen Group Limited, reflecting the scale and diversity of its services across IT, communications, and fire and security.
Today, Fifteen Group supports a wide range of clients, from blue-chip organisations to long-standing local businesses, many of whom have been customers for more than a decade. Business referrals remain a core driver of growth, with BNI relationships continuing to generate new opportunities nearly 20 years on.
Rob Adams, Director at Fifteen Group, said: “BNI has played a huge role in our story. It introduced us to people who became business partners, colleagues and long-term friends. More importantly, it has consistently delivered trusted referrals over nearly two decades. That relationship-led approach mirrors how we work with our customers, built on trust, collaboration and long-term value.”
Today, Fifteen Group delivers managed IT services, communications, and fire and security solutions, helping organisations operate securely, efficiently and at scale.
Rob added: “We view our customers’ journeys in the same way we view our own. Our role is to help them grow securely and confidently. Cyber security and AI are key priorities for us, and we’re focused on staying ahead of the curve, so our customers don’t have to.”
In 2025, following the sale and planned demolition of parts of Parkhall Business Village, Fifteen Group relocated its headquarters to Churchill House in Hanley. The move provides a collaborative hub for around 30 team members and includes a fully interactive demonstration suite, alongside additional operations including a warehouse in Longton and field engineers working across the UK from Essex to Scotland.
People and culture remain central to the company’s success. Staff retention is strong, with several employees having been with the business since its early years.
Rob said: “We invest heavily in our people and we offer clear progression routes and world-class training. A great example is Chloe Harrison, who joined us at 17 and, 13 years later, is about to step into a senior role leading our professional services team.”
Among its achievements, Fifteen Group won the Lloyds Bank Business Awards ‘Enabler of the Year’ in 2015 for an innovative tracking solution developed for a food manufacturer, beating national finalists including Dulux Paint and EasyJet. The award was presented by Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
The business also maintains a strong commitment to community impact. Fifteen Group is a Bronze Partner of Dougie Mac Hospice, has raised tens of thousands of pounds for local charities including the former Donna Louise Children’s Hospice. It is a founder member of the Street Soccer Academy, and supports Genie’s Wish, which grants wishes to terminally ill children.
Looking ahead, Fifteen Group remains focused on sustainable growth.
Rob added: “We’re in a strong position, we have zero debt, cash in the bank, and the right processes to scale. We have recently made a senior appointment from a business eight times our size. Our goal has never been to be the biggest, it’s to be the most trusted partner our customers rely on to run their organisations securely and successfully.”
